[R-Link 2] Rlink2 2.2.19.300

Hello all sorry for the English but I'm from Greece,
The reason I'm writing here is cause I own a Renault Espace 2016 this car never came to Greece so I bought it from France so theres no much info or help for this car.

So my question as you see in the photo I've got rlink2 version 2.2.19.300 I've called in Renault center to ask if I can upgrade it in most newest version as I wanted to use android auto.

The technician there told me to use rlink toolbox but I got no updates, and he told me to get it there to try with he's official tools and if it has a newer version he will upgrade it.
But he also told me that the unit may be blow if I opened anything in developer menu. I told him that I didn't touch anything there. OK so he told me just to know that there's always possibility the unit to stop working.

So is it true? I did this happen to any of you? I cause now I'm a bit afraid and I do not have 1500 euros as he told me for new one if this break. Or I have to wait 1 month for the replacement to come from France to Greece
